BakBoards OE style running boards are designed to compliment the look and style of your pickup truck or SUV, all the while providing outstanding sure-footed stability and unrivaled strength.
BAK running boards are constructed of specifically chosen materials to ensure that you get the most out of your running boards. The running board outer layer is made from an impact resistant plastic that is UV protected and will not scratch or ding. The substrate of a BAK running board is made from heavy-duty aluminum, which is designed to handle 500 lbs of weight on top of it. These running boards are also made to provide a real step up into your vehicle. The step-surface of the running boards are 6 inches wide and are covered with an integrated rubber step pad. This ensures that BAK running boards provide the best and most sure-footed way to get in and out of your vehicle without slipping or missing the step surface of the running board.
BAK Running boards are available in multiple lengths and made to fit almost all pickup trucks and SUV’s available anywhere in the world. BAK Industries produces custom brackets that are crafted specifically to fit your vehicle. The running board brackets are not universal and require very little drilling if any, to install. BAK running board brackets are all made from stainless steel and will never rust or deteriorate over time.
In keeping with BAK Industries progressive design philosophy, we have designed BAK OE style running boards to allow you the option of adding lights to your running boards. You do not have to buy your boards with lights, since the BAK running board light kit is available in a separate box and simply and quickly connects to your existing running boards with no tools and in less than 30 seconds. Now you can convert your running boards from non-lighted to lighted running boards in a matter of seconds, without breaking the bank. Best off all, the BAK light kit is simple to install and is available with a plug and play wire harness, making it the choice of installers everywhere.
BAKBoards running boards are also paintable which means that you can have your running boards color matched to your truck. We do not provide the boards painted, but rather in factory black to match your OE textures and accents of your wheels, door handles, side view mirrors and bumper trim. Painting your running boards is easy though. We suggest dropping them off at your local body shop and having them painted professionally. Since the plastic BAK Industries has chosen to produce the running boards with is specifically designed to work well with automotive paints, no special
prepping is even required to paint BAK running boards.
